Salary – £42,000-50,000 negotiable depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits

Main purpose of job:

  • Achievement of financial and performance budgets for the branch
  • Formulate and implement best practice in managing the branch focussing on achieving high levels of customer service and developing a team-based culture

  • Efficient sales, order and delivery procedures
  • Reviewing market and branch opportunities
  • Achievement of sales targets
  • Account ledger management
  • Margin management
  • Stock management
  • Control of costs and overheads within budget
  • Management of overall branch human resources
  • Managing the branch transport
  • Proactively promote and encourage good Health & Safety culture
  • Managing branch security

 

Hours:

  • Basic 45 hours worked Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm
  • Saturdays on a rota basis 8.00am to 12.00noon
  • At this level a flexible approach to working hours is expected
  • Stocktake weekend once a year
